5 Questions Segment
Q1. We know that the most successful and happy people have a morning routine, what do you do each morning or evening that sets your day up for success? The first thing I do is set my morning intentions and give myself 15 minutes to sit without technology, to meditate, say a prayer, and center myself for the day.
Q2. What's your definition of Success? You grow when your opportunities exceed your capabilities.  Be in a career where you want to stretch yourself and continue to learn and grow.  Another big piece is balance, there’s more to life than just work.
Q3. What's your definition of Happiness? It’s realizing that I’m perfect the way I am.
Q4. What do you know now that you wish you would have known 10 years ago? You control actions you don’t control outcomes and learning to listen more and speak less.  I can be equally or more effective without traveling. Realizing that what I thought I was supposed to do wasn’t what I needed to do.
Q5. What do you think is the biggest issue facing busy professionals today? Practice slowing down.  It’s not true that the harder you work the better the outcomes you are going to get. The other thing is balance between personal and professional life.  You don’t have to work a 10-hour day.  What does 5 hours of productive time look like?
